Ideal for solo adventurers
First off, this place was a total throwback -- I felt like I was back in summer camp with all the communal vibes and activities. Honestly, I met some great people during a potluck dinner we had, sharing dishes with strangers turned friends -- the food was almost as good as the company!
It wasn't the cheapest option out there, but for what you get, it’s realistic.

ith santa barbara beach is a quirky throwback! the staff was so nice, and it’s super close to the beach. i loved the free breakfast and dinner — making your own breakfast is a fun touch! the bunks are solid and provide privacy with curtains. it feels safe with locked doors and respectful guests. Being in the communal spaces is just magic. you'd think you were back at summer camp!
the bathroom can get a bit crowded at peak times.

great location but warm rooms
The activities offered were diverse and engaging with options like yoga and movie nights that catered to many interests during my stay. I appreciated the cleanliness of the bathrooms which provided a pleasant experience after a long day.
The dorm rooms felt a bit warm inside which was uncomfortable at times.

The location was absolutely unbeatable! Just a block from the beach and State Street. The mattress could’ve been better though. Staff organized cool events every night, which was a nice touch! 🌊
